This study, prepared for the dean's office building within the Faculty of Technology at Gazi University, aims to document the building's current condition using scientific methods and to preserve its original architectural character for future generations. During the survey process, all architectural elements of the building were recorded with detailed measurements and analyses; the facade layout, window systems, and structural elements were documented in their original state.
In the restoration approach, the elements that constitute the identity of the building have been taken as the basis, and conservation and repair decisions have been developed by evaluating the deteriorations and interventions that have occurred over time. Intervention proposals have been considered with an understanding that respects the historical continuity of the building and the integrity of materials and details.
This project is not merely a repair process; it is also a comprehensive conservation effort that aims to reveal the architectural memory of the building and establish a meaningful link between the past and the present.
